After ticking the box to confirm that you accept the Terms and Conditions (see below), choose a species from the drop-down list, select the recording area(s) and year(s), and click on the Display Report button. (If you choose all species, the report is restricted to a single recording area and a single year, and you can choose how the species are sorted.)
Tick the Additional material box to supplement the local bird report accounts with information from other sources, such as the British Birds Rarities Committee.
The coverage page (see link above) contains a table showing the report years available online for each recording area.

A large part of this online resource has been generated by scanning paper copies of reports, and the imprecision of automatic character recognition makes occasional errors inevitable. Always check with an original if quoting from a local bird report.
